Fire Safety Act 2021:

This Act clarifies that the responsible person for fire safety in a multi-occupied residential building is responsible for the fire safety of the building’s structure and external walls, including cladding, balconies and windows. This Act amends the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Building Safety Act 2022:

This Act, which received Royal Assent on 28 April 2022, introduces major changes to building and fire safety regulations in England and Wales. It clarifies and strengthens the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, placing greater emphasis on accountability and risk management, particularly in higher-risk buildings.
